Washington vs. Cal

It was an electrifying atmosphere in the Alaska Airlines Arena this past Saturday night as the UW Men faced the Cal Bears. The competition was close throughout, we won pommel horse and parallel bars, but fell short on our last rotation, high bar. We totaled 387.100 to Cal's 397.000. Event highlights included Garrett Dee's 2nd place floor routine with a 13.950, Max Soifer's 2nd place pommel horse routine (12.900), and Nathan Tsuji's 2nd place parallel bars routine with a 14.100. Nick Kano won first place on rings with a 14.250 and Justin Rowen was in a three-way tie for first place on vault with a 14.000. In the all-around, Nathan Tsuji was a very close second with 79.050 behind California's Aaron Mah. The evening was a fantastic showcase of the gymnasts' powerful gymnastics skills in a great venue. What a way to close out the last meet of the season at home before Nationals. Mark your calendars to join us in Everett, March 24 & 25! Go Dawgs!
