On Saturday March 23rd, the Dawgs traveled to Colorado Springs to face the Air Force Falcons head on. The Falcons beat the Huskies 396.00 to 378.75. The Dawgs struggled this time around. They had to count five falls, and their hit percentage dropped to about 60%. Even thought this was their second highest team score, they definitely want to make sure the mistakes they made don’t happen at Nationals this weekend.
The highlights of the meet:
Senior, Captain Nathan Tsuji won the Floor 14.15, and Parallel Bars 13.6.
Alex May hit one of his best floor routines of his career, sticking his dismount and scoring a 13.85.
Freshman Connor Pattison has battled some injuries making it difficult to make line up this year, but he was able to compete and hit very clean routines on Floor 13.0, and Parallel Bars 13.4.
The Dawgs are preparing for Collegiate Nationals this weekend. They hope to bring their performance back up to the same level they had at their home meet two weeks ago. Good luck, and GO DAWGS!!
