Justin Muenz: Justin Muenz (right) has been involved in the sport for close to 30 years as an athlete, coach, and Judge. I was a competitive gymnast from when I was 6 to 21 years old competing in Texas. In my off time I like to go hiking and exploring the great Pacific Northwest. I am currently pursing a career with the Seattle Fire Department that starts in February of 2025.
Karen Zediker: Karen has been a men’s judge for 20 years. A “Gym Mom” to many, she has a passion for the sport and encourages young gymnasts and their families to “Begin Here, Go Anywhere!” When not judging or coaching, Dr. Z works with students and student-athletes to explore their post-secondary educational goals. She loves designing and building things and spending time in her garden.
Kevin Muenz: Kevin (left) has spent nearly 50 years in the sport of gymnastics as a judge, coach, and athlete. Growing up in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights Illinois, Kevin started gymnastics in middle school and became a star for his team at John Hersey High School. Prior to judging she coached both her sons and many other boys who have turned into fine young men..When she is not busy with gymnastics she and her husband enjoy hiking, biking and just horsing around!
Shadow Judges
WGJA supports judges’ education by providing opportunities for newer judges to “shadow” under experienced judges without their assessments counting towards the athletes’ scores.
Binx Stern: Gymnastics has been a big part of Binx’s life as both a coach and athlete. They spend their time outside of the gym skating and spending time with friends.
Jon Malstrom: My name is Jon I was a level 10 gymnast, and was a part of the Army National Guard in Idaho. Currently I coach the men’s and women’s team in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. I like anything involving the outdoors, and spending time with my dog.
