Rocky Mt. Open Review

The Rocky Mt. Open team results are as follows: Oklahoma 409.90, Nebraska 403.55, Minnesota 391.25, Air Force 381.90, and Washington 375.35.

The Dawgs were able to improve their event scores from what they received at the WA Open on Floor 65.05 (+.45), Pommel Horse 61.95 (+1.85), and Parallel Bars 63.05 (+.3). On the other hand, Rings 63.1 (-2.65) and High Bar 59.75 (-2.25) had some falls and bobbles that scored them lower than WA Open. Vault’s very low score 62.40 (-4.4) was due to a couple of unfortunate injuries to two of our best vaulters incurred during warm up. In spite of the injuries, the Huskies put up a great fight and finished strong.

The Dawgs are now ranked 12th, ahead of NCAA teams William & Mary and Springfield College. This is encouraging for the Dawgs to start out so strong and will work hard to keep their spot in the rankings.

The next meet is Sunday, February 2nd (Pac 12) at Cal Berkeley, which gives the guys some time to heal and get back on track.

LET’S GO DAWGS!!!
