Crockett Named New Head Coach

In the wake of Giancarlo’s departure, the team will continue to progress under the adept and competent leadership of former assistant coach Jeff Crockett. The WMGF has named Jeff as the new Head Coach of Washington Men’s Gymnastics.

 

Jeff has been a Husky since joining the team as a gymnast in 2000. He became a decorated Washington athlete competing for a record seven years with the team. After his athletic career, Jeff directed a junior boy’s competitive team for 7 years. His athletes had success in the Future Stars and Junior National Team programs. . Washington Men’s Gymnastics looks forward to new successes with Jeff in his new role.

 

Jeff will continue to be supported by the Washington Men’s Gymnastics Foundation under President Joel Hennig. In addition, long-time head coach Mark Russo will remain in his role as the Chief Executive Director. The team and foundation will continue the long tradition of developing people to the highest standards of integrity, truth, work ethic, perseverance, dedication, desire, and reciprocity.

Jeff will be hosting a Facebook Live Q&A event on Saturday, February 13 at 4:00 pm Pacific time to answer any questions that you have about this change.
